it is as it was and will be

Tue Apr 29, 2008, 7:38 AM
to anyone that is listening:

i'm alive. and well. grad school applications all fell through this year. but that's ok. that's life.

i continue to try to keep art off the backburner and more forward in my mind. ideas pop into my mind continually. but procrastination wins out most days. i am fighting myself to work on at least one thing a day. even if it's only for a few minutes or a quick sketch.

will i ever submit anything else? probably? but it seems like my online life is slipping away with the memory of college life. maybe that's how it's supposed to be. then again, i was never that heavily into it, not being terribly interested in communicating with the outside world.

anywise, this spot seemed neglected and i felt like filling it.

Hey,

Thanks to the uniqueness of "Skull Picnic", I found you. I figured I might try to mess around on deviant for awhile and see what its all about. Its big, scary and confusin'. Come and check out the single drawing sitting on my lonely, lonely page.

Hope all is well! I'm gonna look around on your page for a bit.

Hey man,
welcome. sorry to take so long getting back to you. it's been a while since i've been on deviantart. i think i just got a little sick of it (not to turn you off of it though).
:iconmichaelwalsh:
hey my friend, good to see your new work up!

ive finally gotten around to finishing my Co&Ca piece afterall - please take a look whenever you can ;) still loving the sons of jupiter piece!
:iconnewbie0079:
Thanks, I've got a bit of a more to put up if I ever win the fight with the scanner.

Good to see you're back as well. really like some of the conceptual architecture. and i really want to see where you go with the Coheed stuff.

cheers bud - i kindof do, too lol. ...basically, more and more, im hoping ill be able to finally put together a small graphic novel...but..well..i dont want to jump the gun. looking forward to seeing more of your work though - makes me wonder why i ever stopped drawing in pencil full-time! ..then i remember that it was because of the smudgy sketchbooks. i love my sketchbooks and i hate it when they get smudgy.
:iconnewbie0079:
yeah, that is the downside of sketchbooks. eventually it all turns to a grey mess. the alternative is to spray everything and then you're braindead and the sketchbook sends people running from the smell. ah well.

id never thought of that to be honust! may be a good idea. the turth is that i really enjoy using spirit markers and black ink, though, and then going over it with coloured pencils. may upload some to my scraps later! did you ever get any further with the sons of jupiter piece? uni has snowballed in the last 3 or 4 days, so itll be a few days before i find time to finish Arrival :(
